The Cabins

Two Cabins, One Dogtrot

Two log units joined by an open breezeway — the classic dogtrot. Choose your side.

The Tradition

The dogtrot, explained

The dogtrot was the original Southern AC: two log cabins joined by a covered, open-air hallway that pulled cool air through the middle on hot August afternoons. Practical. Beautiful. Built to last.

Ours has two separate rentals — The Bear on the Left and The Moose on the Right — sharing the breezeway downstairs. Book one, or book both for the whole crew.

Photos are shared between listings — book each unit separately on Airbnb.

We always stay at Tom's place when we are in Mountain View. Close to everything but very private and quiet. Highly recommend staying here!

The host and his wife could not have been more friendly. Beds were comfortable and everything was spotless. Can't recommend this place enough.

Hands down best place to stay in Mountain View, AR! They even left flowers on the table with a little note that said 'happy anniversary'.
Lexi · Conway, AR · The Bear · Mar 2025
This cabin is immaculate and tastefully decorated. The welcoming feel of a private lodge reserved and manicured personally for you.
